The first edition of Babynastics introduces babies and their caregivers to the importance of daily stimulation, then goes on to provide two routines to do on alternate days to develop their potential.
- In preparation for rolling, the first routine has exercises to strengthen muscles and loosen joints of the hip and trunk, and to develop balance and head control. It also promotes an awareness of the body, particularly hands and feet.
- The second routine stimulates baby’s sense of sight and hearing, plus develops the vestibular system, balance and head control.
- Each routine ends on a calming note – both in the choice of music and with a gentle rocking or body rub.
